Reduce - Reuse - make a bow and arrow, Rat Rod style

Reduce - Reuse - Rat Rod Bow
There is a bulk trash day nearby. I see a lot of wood while I'm driving around, plus other stuff.
So here is the first official The Bowyers' Den contest.

Contest Goal : Build a functional, working bow from a pile of refuse.

Rule 1: You must get your materials from some one else's scrap heap, not your own.
Rule 2: No restrictions on what material or tools you use, glue is allowed
Rule 3: Document your trash to flash transformation with pictures.
Rule 4: Must shoot 6 arrows with the bow.

Points will be given for the following criteria:
5 points for being on a scrap heap, being obviously broken to get all 5
5 points for knowing what it used to be
5 points for using all of the broken thing
5 points for creativity
5 points for full draw photo
5 points shooting six arrows
5 points for draw length, 28" for all 5 points
subtotal of 35 points
extra credit
1 point for each additional part of a full archery kit that comes from scrap heaps
demerit points
You will loose points for use of non-reused from trash items, including glue, backings, string, feathers, points, etc.
However, you may wish to recognize that four steps forward and one step back is still three forward, whereas two steps forward and no steps back is still only two forward.

This is the first contest, so I reserve the option to edit and adjust as we go along.

Dead line August 1st, feel free to speak up if you feel that you need more time, or less if you feel this should be a get in, get it done, and get out kind of job.
Reward, tapered laminations, or perhaps something else.

I am considering posting the pictures of the entries and the winning bow on YouTube and other places, so consider if that is cool with you guys.

A few questions.

1.) Assuming the bow must function, do we also need to make an arrow from said scraps only? (Not 6 arrows, just 6 times)
2.) Does this also include the bowstring? Must it come from the heap-o-stuff too? (must be from heap, or demerit points)
3.) Since backing will probably be a must, what are the rules on allowed adhesives? (this may be covered under "materials and tools") (must be from heap or demerit points)

This sounds like a great little challenge.
Now to just find a junk pile.

(Edited with my assumed answers after full rules posted)

Dose the bow have to be capable of being drawn to full draw?

So, 6 individual arrows, or just able to shoot 6 times?

My dad works in construction, all the scrap wood I need is just a bike ride away from my house....

I did a run today, I was working on a cherry bow and has a 1/4 in piece about four feet long, I shaved it down with my surform, then tied six strands of jute to the back, and used another six for the string, braced it at six inches, it pulled about 15lbs, It sustained full draw (27 in) but after about twenty shots it went kaput.

I figure if I build a like bow with poplar (albeit longer though) I should have a trashy, but shootable bow.

Shootable 6 times. But if you use other castoffs to make the six arrows, that's a lot of extra credit.

While taking out the garbage the other day, I noticed a bentwood chair sitting beside the dumpster shaped almost like this one : Image

I have read that these chairs are commonly made from Birch, and possibly metal inside the wood.
I thought at the time it might make a functioning bow, has anyone ever tried it ?
I'm a big guy, and I know I can sit in one no problem, and they are quite flexible.
I'm picturing a recurve take down bow
depending on upholstery used, it may even provide a string, and perhaps metal for those arrow tips.

The chair/bow sounds cool.

I am still hunting around for some appropriate wood for mine. I have some other materials though.

I'll recuse myself from this one.

I'm housebound.

I'm going to extend this one. I like the idea and I haven't had time to find what I'm seeking.
