We've got a great list of excellent bow woods in our FAQ section under this thread: Is [blankwood] a good bow wood? Official List
It has great information on all kinds of woods, and how well they work in bowyery.

Some good woods that you will generally find at lumber mills would be, Hickory (Pecan is a good alternative), Ash, various hard Maples, and of course the Oaks.
Keep an eye out for exotics too. They make great accents on bows in both riser blocks and tip overlays.

Good luck! Hope you find some good stuff.

especially look for the the wood they like to use for decking called Ipe, and makes a killer backed bow.

Yes, Rosewood can make a beautiful handle and tip accent.
The contrast of Rosewood on a whitewood is very striking.
